A very small airport that’s easy to navigate. The wait for check-in is quite long. Now that more people are opting for cheaper flight options, perhaps the airport should consider expanding the number of check-in counters. There’s a cute duty-free shop on the first floor with limited items. The nuts shop, Al Rahi, is a good choice; prices are reasonable and they offer a wide variety of nuts and chocolates. Definitely worth trying. Overall, it was a good experience for my first time flying from Fujairah.

I travelled from Fujairah Airport to Kannur on 4th November 2025, with my ticket priced at INR 5500 only (IndiGo). The whole airport experience was smooth and pleasant — easy check-in and fast service. The environment inside the airport was clean and comfortable. A special mention to Alrahi Roastery inside the airport — their service was really good, and the prices were very affordable. They were even offering a 25% discount on all items, which was a pleasant surprise. The products were of great quality, and the overall experience was amazing. Highly recommend Fujairah Airport for its efficiency and Alrahi Roastery for its value and taste!

Honestly, Fujairah International Airport is the best-kept travel secret in the UAE. I flew out recently and was amazed at how quick and easy the whole experience was. From check-in to security to immigration, I was at my gate in just 10 minutes—something I’ve never experienced at any other airport. Yes the airport is far and much smaller than other airports in the UAE but super efficient, and the duty free is very affordable compared to the bigger airports. Another huge plus is that parking is free, which is a lifesaver, but they also run a free daily shuttle service from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain—so getting there is really convenient. Airfares are also surprisingly low, with flights to Mumbai and Kannur starting from AED 227, and onward connections to places like Bangkok, Jakarta, and Singapore. There are also direct domestic routes to Cochin, Kolkata, Chennai, and more. Overall, flying from Fujairah was stress-free, affordable, and super convenient. Definitely ReviewRon recommended—I’ll be choosing FJR again for my next trip.
