the short hike was nice, but it’s a bit slippery so make sure you wear proper footwear. the waterfall was really beautiful. too bad there were so many instagram girlies hogging some good spots to take pictures.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is truly MESMERISING, one of the most amazing waterfalls we visited in Bali. Reaching the waterfall requires a short 8–10 minute hike, and honestly, it’s not for everyone. Parts of the trail can feel a bit scary, especially when it’s raining, but the moment you reach the waterfall, the adrenaline rush and the view make everything worth it. We reached while it was heavily raining, which made the experience even more dramatic and magical. Standing inside the cave-like space with water crashing down is an unreal feeling, absolutely breathtaking. A few important tips: • There’s no proper place to sit or keep your belongings, so carry minimal items. • Dry bags are a must for phones and gadgets. • Wear a swimsuit, getting drenched under the waterfall is an experience you shouldn’t miss. There is plenty of parking available for both cars and scooters, which makes the visit convenient. The entry fee is around 35,000 IDR per person, and it is 100% worth it once you see the waterfall. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, adventurous, thrilling, and absolutely stunning. Totally worth the hike and highly recommended! 🌿💦✨

A must visit place when you are in Bali. Though it seems artificial as it is handled so well but the fall is really so mesmerising and not so deep. A water shoes/crocks are highly recommended though there are so many shops who sells these items at good price. The entry charge is IDR 30000.00 irrespective of your nationality. There is a small waterfall as well and a swimming pool.

Absolutely one of the most magical waterfalls in Bali! 🌿✨ Tucked inside a hidden canyon near Bangli, Tukad Cepung Waterfall feels like something out of a fairytale. The walk down takes about 10–15 minutes — a mix of stairs, rocks, and shallow river crossings — but every step is worth it once you reach the bottom. The waterfall sits inside a cave-like opening where the sunlight streams through the top, creating beautiful rays of light that dance in the mist. It’s a photographer’s dream — and even more breathtaking in person. Go early in the morning (before 10 a.m.) for the best light and to avoid the crowds. You’ll need to wade through ankle- to knee-deep water, so bring sandals or water shoes, and maybe a dry change of clothes if you want to stand under the falls. 💦 There are a few local stalls near the parking area selling fresh coconut water, snacks, and souvenirs, and the locals are always friendly and welcoming. Entrance is very affordable, and the area is kept clean and well maintained. The combination of nature, adventure, and tranquility makes it one of my favorite spots in Bali. If you’re exploring waterfalls like Tegenungan or Kanto Lamp, make sure to add Tukad Cepung to your list — it’s unique, peaceful, and truly unforgettable.

Once you park your vehicle a the parking where there are souvenir shops, you have to walk and climb steps down atleast for 25-30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Once you the bottom of the valley , you can either go left to the waterfall that is shown on instagram or other side where you can bathe. When we reached the cave area, there was along line . People were going into the cave one by one, getting pictures clicked and coming back and then the next couple or person was going. I think we had to stand for 1 1/2 to 2 hours before our turn came. You cant bathe under the waterfall, it is too forceful. You can just get clicked there. We went in the evening around 4pm and our turn came around 5.30 or 6pm and it wasnt bright. Thats why i read somewhere that the best time to go is 10am in the morning. There are changing rooms, toilet and they also rent towels on charging basis.
