I had the privilege of boarding and experiencing the USS Missouri and tour this week. I was able to meet and chat with some of the employees, managers, and volunteers that serve this site. It was a beautiful and warming experience to see and hear the history of this ship and feel the love that the workers have for it's meaning. My tour guide was informative, helpful, and friendly. She knew all of the facts and stories behind each piece, and was able to answer a wide variety of questions from the group. The man sitting at the question desk inside the main deck, is super helpful, kind and a joy to talk to. There's much to learn and soak in, with different options for food, and a full gift shop. I highly recommend a visit here while on your travels.

To get to the Missouri, you gotta take the shuttle, no extra charge, departing from Pearl Habor memorial. We didnt know so we drove to the gate on the bridge and was guided to turn back. Buy your tickets in advance on the Pearl Habor website so you dont need to wait unless you arent sure of your visiting date. There was an onsite ticket counter but we didnt see anyone there. We had guided tours which was provided when we bought the tickets on the website. Our family loves history and so it is a good visit. However, I wouldn't recommended for seniors. The walk is long through stairs and narrow pathway. Wheelchair wont get through. The ship carries a lot of historical memories - dents caused by the fallen airplane on the side of the ship, deck witnessed the signing surrender of Japan. You feel like you were coming back in time and eyewitnessed the historical moment. If your kids like history and willing to walk, it is a must go.

Loved the Pearl Harbor memorial. Great day of history.
