This full day shark cage diving adventure offers an unforgettable encounter with one of the ocean’s most powerful predators. With an early morning pickup, you travel from Cape Town to the coastal town of Gansbaai, known worldwide as the heart of shark cage diving. Upon arrival, enjoy breakfast while receiving a full overview of the day and an essential safety briefing before heading out to sea. The experience is designed to be both thrilling and educational, suitable for first time divers and spectators alike.
After launching from Gansbaai Harbour, the boat anchors near the famous Shark Alley. You will spend approximately two to three hours at sea observing and cage diving with great white sharks in their natural environment. Along the way, you may also spot seals, seabirds, and whales during the season. After returning to the harbour, enjoy lunch and watch footage from the day before heading back to Cape Town with memories that last a lifetime.

I have had my first ever experience yesterday morning on Apex Shark Expeditions, Shark Cage Diving in Cape Town. I at first had no words, I was in Awe of this Beauty surrounding us, Nature, Wild Ocean Life, on our door step. I felt so Free, for the first time ever in my life there was absolutely nothing and I mean nothing else that I could think or wonder about. Came here all the way from Singapore. Very professional crew who lead us out to sea to view many sharks. My family and i felt very safe throughout the experience and we highly recommend Apex to anyone considering the shark cage experience!

Amazing experience with Apex, starting from early in the morning when we were picked up at our accommodation. We loved how organized the entire day was, and most importantly how safe the diving and cage itself was! My advice - If you are able to , request the air line for the dive as well. It is very tiring coming up for air with every breath, so having the regulator makes for such a better experience!! It's an option to request when you make your booking. We also did the afternoon tour to Boulder, where the oceans meet, and Chapmans point. Sam was so knowledgeable and professional and we loved the tour as well.

I had a great experience with Apex. They promised Bronze Whaler Sharks and there were over ten of them waiting to join us. I highly.recommend that you book the scuba gear since it makes it so.much easier to stay under.water and watch the sharks. I didn't expect it.to be so rough under water. But waves and sharks give the cage a good shake. So much harder to keep going up and down if you dont have the scuba gear. On the way to the sharks we.saw a huuuuge pott of dolphins. A few hundred is underestimated.

This activity has been on my bucket list for a very long time! And it did NOT disappoint. I had a great morning with the team, including being picked up from my apartment in Cape Town. It was made clear what we could see, and luckily they showed up! 5 or 6 bronze whaler sharks were around the boat/cage at any one time. We also saw 2 hammerhead sharks, although they did not come too close. We were also followed at times by numerous dolphins. After the cage experience we were taken to seal island, be prepared for the 'slight' aroma...... it's extremely pungent! The whole trip was fantastic and I'll remember it for a very long time.
