Friendly personnel, great museums and walks. The musee Boudin et Satie are excellent, surprising and enriching. A visit to the Lieutenance is also a must- a very modern, interractive and surprising museum in the heart of Honfleur, where one can learn a lot about the history, the geography and the rich culture and civilisation of this special place. The personnel was particularly welcoming, allowing me to come back the next day to spend more time learning and taking in the lovely views from the terrace. The other smaller museums are also quaint, informative, and definitely worth a visit. The churches offer a wonderful insight into the various neighbourhoods of the town. And, of course, a stroll through the little streets with so much character + lots of delicious local specialities will surely charm every visitor. The chocolates, the biscuits, the calvados, the cider, the sea food, the cheese...take your pick! A shop with hand made 'sabots' was my personal favourite!! The 'personalities parc' leading to the beach was also a beautiful surprise. The views at sunset were particularly memorable. Last but not least, I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour organized by the tourist office, with Baptiste, a young student who shared many interesting facts, annecdotes and secrets about the town's history, architecture, development and traditions. All in all, a wonderful and enriching visit and a delightful townley that fully deserves its great reputation.

We like Honfleur. We used the car park by the Riverside. I was somewhat shocked at the speed on the Seine at Honfleur, it was really shifting. The large River cruisers were moored close by as was the local fishing fleet. All in all it was quite a pleasant place to be.

The town is beautiful, full of historical charm and interesting. The crowds of tourists aren't any of those things. I guess that explains why the woman on staff at the tourism office who interacted with me was so SOUR!

Beautiful place, full of history and unfortunately... tourists. A great example of "Art de vivre a la francaise" walking around this incredible, quaint and welcoming little town. So much to do on and off the water. However tourists pouring in by thousands in summertime is a real buzz killer. Ill be back in september!

Only had one brochure in English that took some digging to find. It's more of a gift shop. We had a hard time communicating in the area in general. A very touristy area that's not very tourist friendly. Brush up on your French or you will be lost in translations.
