Overall its quite an dissappointment for a "big city" airport. Layout is clear, one big long corridor. Not thah msny vendors, boutiques or restaurants in a airport thst sized, quite remarkable. The security and immigration works quite smootly. But it is also understandable since there are so many inhabitants that they can afford having staff almost every 10m. Not quite but still. You dont even have to think yourself in which line you would go to.

20260104 - large and clean airport. Has several lounges for airlines and lounge passes. went to both 135b lounge in t1 satellite terminal and 39 1st class lounge with dragonpass. 135b was new, less busy and many seats and charging ports are available. However it was much warmer due to heater on despite winter. 39 lounge was smaller but cooler and the food selection was better with more spicy food and offers shower. Prefer 39 over 135b.

Had a great experience at Pudong International Airport! The airport is modern, clean, and very easy to navigate. Signs are clear, staff are helpful, and the overall atmosphere feels safe and well-managed. One of the best parts is how well the airport is connected. It’s directly linked to the Maglev train and the metro, making it super convenient to travel into the city. The Maglev runs fast and smoothly, and the metro gives you affordable access to many places in Shanghai. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and comfortable areas to sit and relax while waiting for your flight. Everything feels organized and efficient, which makes the travel experience stress-free. Overall, Pudong Airport is a great place to arrive, depart, or transit through!

Very well managed airport to enter China via Shanghai. Very clean and well maintained. The immigration, parking areas, baggage belts are very well maintained and hassle free. There are some rules regarding power banks which I was not aware of while departing and they had to keep my power bank(they need CCC certification and need to mention mAh on the power bank which was missing on my power bank). The airport is spacious and enough seating near the gates.
