Harbin Taiping International Airport — Har-bin there, rolled through, almost became the poster girl Harbin Airport is very nice, modern, and unexpectedly compassionate — the kind of airport that restores your faith in travel, one smooth roll at a time. The staff arranged wheelchair assistance from my Singapore flight, helping with baggage and personally escorting us through the airport all the way to check-in for Mohe. This wasn’t the usual point-and-disappear service — they stayed with us, navigated every turn, and made sure nothing felt rushed or stressful. They even allowed time for lunch, despite the tight connection (and despite the fact I’d eaten breakfast just two hours earlier — healing requires fuel). True to their word, they returned to pick us up, wheeled us back to the check-in counter, and ensured a smooth boarding process for the flight to Mohe. Then came the unexpected plot twist: I was asked to pose with the wheelchair assistant as we made our way to the departure gate — apparently to showcase “service in action.” I obliged, of course. Who knows? One day I might spot myself in an airport services advertisement and think, ah yes, that was my runway moment. This is when you realise the real benefit of travelling with my sister — everything runs calmer, smoother, and somehow more human. Efficient, patient, and genuinely kind. This is a small-sized airport, but it’s quite unique because they provide a room where you can change clothes before leaving. If you’re traveling between October and February, the temperature outside is very cold, so you should prepare yourself before facing a cruel world hahaha

This airport is a lot larger after the city expanded it, and a lot more functional, a lot cleaner. The staff are very nice and efficient. Travelers used to complain about the taxi business not being well managed years ago, but that problem was solved, very strict regulations now. It's pretty far from the airport to the city, but there is beautiful scenery on both sides.

It was cold outside but warm inside the airport. Security check section before enter the terminal was very cold. It is a huge airport with many gift shops inside, especially sausages shops, they are everywhere. Plenty of accessories gifts such as magnet, etc. We walked quite far to reach to our gate from the entrance.
