We survived Hurricane Melissa with the help of the highly professional staff of the resort. When we returned to our room from sheltering in a central location, at 3am three workers used a giant squeegee and towels to push over an inch of water out of our entire room and dry the floor. The clean up on the grounds began immediately. The food at the buffet was quite good by the end of the first day post storm. The pool reopened. The lounge and lobby, despite serious damage were cleaned up and reopened in a day or so. We were stranded several days past our planned stay and they even put on a great "trick or treat" for the kids on Halloween, just three days after this devastating storm! I can't believe what an experience this had been. The people of the Bahia are fantastic. BTW, this was our fifth stay at the Bahia. We kept returning before because of the food the facilities and the people. The storm was a trial by fire that cemented our love of the place!

First off I was grateful to even be able to do anything for my birthday and excited to visit Jamaica. Most of the staff are nice but there a a few young ladies that are very rude. The first incident is when we were talked into a presentation, after declining giving them 9,000 the manager got up and stormed off. Unbelievable! The second instance was in the buffet when we were stopped at the door because we had food with us to take back to the room, the two young ladies at the door were very rude and did not offer any kind of alternative or reason why we could not take the food to our room. Even though they were rude we still wished them a good night and in response we got nasty looks.I am not sure what their issues are but I have nothing to do with them. These are just a couple of examples of how rude and weird some of the staff acted. Why are they so mad? Customer service is not for everyone. The ac in the room could be cooler, there is no room service offered unless you upgrade to luxury, the same food is at both buffets every single night. At this point I’m just ready to go. I will never stay here again and definitely do not recommend. Don’t waste your money.

Amazing experience!! Corlando was great checking us in and taking care of us in the privilege club. Dwayne, Cody, and Hushane were amazing bartenders that we were so lucky to have! Along with so many others. Amazing experience and great staff. Amazing food as well. Kept well clean with great entertainment. Can’t go wrong! No complaints!

Just got back from spending 7 days and it was a wonderful vacation. Big shot out to Marvin! Marvellous Marvin is a well deserved nickname! Thank you for everything! The food was fantastic! We had an upgraded room with an amazing view of the ocean! The staff were all so friendly and really made the vacation even better! Always had fresh towels and house keeping came everyday to freshen up our room and fill our fridge ! Was a little apprehensive coming to because I had read some not so great reviews, but our experience was completely different! We also did scuba diving on a glass floor boat. I would also recommend, it was a fun little adventure and responsibly priced. Thank you so much, we look forward to visiting in the future after all the Reno’s are finish!

Such a fun trip! Everyone was so amazing. Service was 10/10. Good food, good people. Corlando with the privilege club was so great! Dwayne and Hushane (our bartenders) went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Cody was great as well. They truly are what made our stay so great!
