My wife and I were looking to make the best of our time on Crete and fortunately I found Chania Experience Tours. We really enjoyed our day tour. The amount of time in each location was nice. The trip was well planned and we really enjoyed our time in Chania Town, Kournas Lake and Rethymno. Our visit to Rethymno was a pleasant surprise. We feel the quaint town is a must see.

This is a tour well worth booking Gianni’s knowledge on the History of Crete and told us all about the history of his family. We visited Elafonisi Beach, the Monastery, some did snorkelling in a cove then a lovely fresh fish restaurant to finish owned by his relatives. Superb day.

We arrived in Crete on a cruise ship, with only a limited amount of time to explore the island so we wanted to make the most of it. This tour was a unique experience. In just one day we visited from the most picturesque tourist spots to the hidden gems, less crowded and absolutely charming. The logistics suggested were flawless (the perfect amount of time for each location) and the guide was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and responsive to all our questions and requests. He even provided everything we needed for the beach and treated us to fresh beverages after each stop. What a fantastic experience my family & I had with Yiannis. The Elafonisi tour was amazing. Early start to avoid the crowds, then on to 2 more amazing beaches off the beaten track - with a visit to a monastery in between. Yiannis was very knowledgeable and shared personal, family stories that made our day even more interesting. We stopped off at a brewery on the way back to our hotel for a taste of 7 different beers - with Yiannis tailoring our tour to what we wanted to do. A real highlight was the visit to Yiannis’ uncle’s restaurant on the beach where we enjoyed fresh fish for lunch - amazing. If you find yourself visiting the beautiful island of Crete and you want the BEST guide who creates a personalized and flexible schedule to tour the wonders of the island then look no further! Yiannis and his Chania Experience Tours truly made our time in Crete so memorable and special. I can’t say enough good things about him and the experience he offers. I was lucky to have found him on my hunt for tours while my husband and I were on our honeymoon. He is very quick to respond and became a point of contact for us through WhatsApp during our week in Crete. We did 2 days with him, including the Kourtaliotiko Gorge/Preveli Palm beach tour and the second day Elafonissi beach tour, which also included secret beaches that are these hidden gems without the large tourist populations. He also does unique small stops on your road trip which included fantastic lunch spots and local honey farms. We got to learn about his life as a local in Chania and, and he took us to his uncle’s seafood tavern which was by far the best most fresh seafood we had while in Crete. We also tasted his family’s wine which they make as well. We honestly got so much more than we ever thought by booking with Yiannis. The van you are transported in is large, clean, and he includes towels, snorkel gear, waters and sodas. Some of the roads to get to these further destinations are hard to navigate/ drive so to have someone drive you made a world of difference. Even after our tours were done, he would give us recommendations about what to do on the rest of our travels in Crete and he also gives you a list of recommendations for restaurants and things to do in old town. Yiannis, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the most memorable experience on our new favorite Greek Island.

Great trip to nice villages by the sea. Our guide Elisabeth told us a lot about the history of Crete and the towns we visited. We first drove to Chania, then Lake Kournas and then Rethymno. The time for each stop was plenty and it was a great day trip. Transportation, organization etc was great!
