I was quite nervous when I started planning my trip to Egypt after hearing people’s negative experiences. I did extensive research, comparing multiple tour operators, and finally decided to go with Egypt Tours Portal. Before the trip, the agent I communicated was very responsive, and they allowed me to customize my itinerary. That said, I was still a bit nervous even before I arrived in Egypt. But thankfully, the representative did show up and pick me up. Bakr, my tour guide in Cairo, and Hassan, my tour guide in Aswan and Luxor, were both very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history. All the people I interacted with, such as the drivers and the representatives, were very nice and professional. For example, my flight from Cairo to Aswan was significantly delayed, and they were still waiting there late at night until I got there, which was a relief. Egypt Tours Portal’s price is on the more expensive end, but I would recommend this company for its reliability.

Had a great vaca thru Egypt Portal tour - accommodations at concorde el salah in Cairo and zen wellness center in Aswan and jolie ville in Luxor were all nice. Dog sniffing car at Concorde in Cairo did concern me as well as luggage check but overall it was nice. Room in Cairo and Aswan were small compared to Jolie ville. Jolie Ville was great - resort was perfect for relaxing with great Nile view especially the sunset. Nile cruise in Cairo was cheesy - not worth the time. Aswan was ok - Better to spend more time in Giza and Luxor if your time is less than a week. Special commendation to all the tour guides and drivers on the excursion - Hamdi was superb in navigating the chaos of driving thru Cairo like a champ! I would not have been able to navigate Cairo without destroying the car. The drivers in Aswan and Luxor were equally proficient and courteous. I will give extra commendation to Marian Azar in Luxor for extending herself to give us a welcoming tour and she was even kind enough to get the driver lunch as well - her thoughtfulness just really exemplified the true warmth of Egyptian hospitality. Only wish the Tipping could have been included in the trip cost - particularly for the use of public restrooms - foreigners like myself may not carry money to bathrooms as it is not customary ever to pay for restrooms in tour sites. If you have to tip- the bathroom should have sufficient tissue paper - this was an annoyance that I rectified by bringing toilet paper. Suggestion for EGYPT PORTAL - if the tour can be away from the tourist traps - that would be an uptick. I realize tourists are seen as dollar signs for the economy but it's better to show tourists the welcoming beauty of Egypt as I felt in Luxor than the tourist traps I felt in Cairo and Aswan. While the price for the Egypt trip could have been cheaper had i booked everything myself, I am grateful for the eye opening experience and know better for my next trip. Yes I do intend to return because I saw a great side to Egypt beyond the tourist traps.

Just had a wonderful 5 day Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with Egypt Tour Portal. The facilities and dining options on the cruise ship was basic. If you need free flow of drinks during meals, make sure you book that meal option. If not, you will have to purchase all your drinks including water during meals. You are only given 2 small 500ml bottles of water per room per day and 2 small 250ml bottles of water to brush your teeth with. Tap water is not safe to drink, not portable. You do not have free flow of dining the whole day unlike other luxury cruises. Meal times vary according to land tour timing. Think of this cruise ship more as a ferry with meals and sleeping options. The sights along the way to Aswan were amazing. To make the trip memorable, you will need a knowledgeable guide. My private group of 6 were blessed to be led by an Egyptologist and very knowledgeable Hassan Ali. Ask for him personally if you book a tour with the company. I would rate his knowledge and service at 10/10. His insights to the sites and history of Egypt made me appreciate the places and Egypt more and made my holiday very memorable. Before entering each site, he helped us focus on the important things to watch out for, so we would not be overwhelmed by all the info and sights. His honest opinions and valuable advise prevented my travel companions and I from being taken advantage of by the many touts and from being fleeced or cheated. Our shopping trips was also more enjoyable as he gave tips on what expect and pay. Overall, I think our trip would not have been so unforgettable had it not been for Hassan. Our journey through Cairo and Alexandria was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we landed, everything was perfectly organizedt. Our tour guide, Emy, was an absolute gem — graceful, knowledgeable, and full of warmth! She made Cairo’s pyramids, the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum and the treasures of Alexandria come alive with her passion. Every detail was perfectly planned, every moment filled with charm and care.
