We enjoyed a lovely tour with Jonathan. We learnt so much about olives and olive oil production. It was a really interesting day and we were very glad we went. The tasting was fun and we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The tour was great value for money and I enjoyed it that much I’d go again. What Jonathan and his partner are doing is so important, working extremely hard to maintain and preserve traditional growing and harvesting practices. One of the best tours I’ve been on.
Highly recommended authentic olive oil learning and tasting experience. Jonathan is basically a historian who happens to own an olive farm and excels at sharing this knowledge in a thoughtful and engaging way. His partner Chrisa tops off the whole experience with a fabulous light lunch and some homemade wine served in the peaceful surroundings of this cherished land.
We had such a great day with Jonathan and Chrisa - they are such a good team and so passionate about what they do and about sharing the history and the making of olive oil in Corfu. So interesting to hear how it was done in the past and how the culture has changed over time and how they are changing the way things are done to produce small batch high quality EVOO. Definitely recommend this trip, the mezze and wine and setting were an excellent bonus to this trip. Book in advance for peak season to be sure you get a slot!
The best tour we've ever been on. Jonathan was just brilliant; incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and personable. We learnt a huge amount about olives and olive oil, the rich history, as well as the challenges currently facing producing quality olive oil in Corfu. The olive oil tasting was surprising and wonderful, followed by a lovely meal, prepared by Chyrsa, which we couldn't speak higher of. Jonathan also picked us up and dropped us off. If you're going to do any excursions in Northern Corfu, this is the one. Thank you so much!
