It’s huge. It’s a structure made out of four triangles. If you are at Mena House by Marriott you can see it from your room. In my case I had a great view from my 4th floor balcony. Sadly the casings that were there that made it shine are gone. You can walk inside. People don’t climb it anymore.

Once-in-a-lifetime experience. Seeing the Giza Pyramids for the first time is breathtaking, with incredible history and architecture. A second visit isn’t necessary, but they are absolutely worth seeing at least once.

When you finally arrive here, it is as if you are in a 3D backdrop. So stunning so surreal to be in its presence. It is after all the 7th wonder of the world in its full glory. A must visit spot when you are in Egypt. You can pay an additional fee to enter the very narrow path into the pyramid. However, there is no tomb, no engravings & no mummy inside. Free Shuttle buses now roam the path so don’t be silly, board one at the entrance near the Sphinx.

Visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Standing in front of these ancient wonders, witnessing their sheer scale and timeless presence, fills you with awe and deep respect for the civilization that built them. No photograph or video can prepare you for how powerful and humbling the experience feels in real life. Walking around the pyramids, exploring the vast desert landscape, and finally reaching the Sphinx makes the visit unforgettable. The history, the silence of the desert, and the grandeur of these monuments create moments you will remember forever. That said, a visit here also requires awareness and smart planning. Visitors should be cautious of scammers, especially those offering horse carts, camel rides, or “full packages” at the entrance. It is highly recommended to buy your tickets yourself—either in advance or directly from the official ticket counter—rather than relying entirely on a guide for payments or arrangements. If you wish to take a ride, it’s better to enter the pyramids area first and then decide calmly inside. Prices and options are clearer there, and you can choose what suits you without pressure. Otherwise, if you are comfortable walking, you can explore much of the site on foot, taking your time at each pyramid before moving toward the Sphinx. For those who prefer comfort, hiring a guide is not a bad option—but always confirm prices clearly in advance, ask what is included, and avoid vague promises. Not all guides are dishonest, but being cautious will help you enjoy the experience without stress. The best way to visit the Great Pyramids is to do it step by step: explore the pyramids at your own pace, pause to absorb the view, move on to the Sphinx when you’re ready, and return calmly to the main gate. This allows you to truly enjoy the magic of the place rather than rushing through it. Despite the challenges, the Great Pyramids of Giza remain extraordinary. With a little awareness and planning, the experience can be deeply rewarding, memorable, and absolutely worth it.

All I have to say is that it was more spectacular than I expected. Amazing experience. I would definitely do the farther camel ride or carriage ride for better photos. This place is not really wheel chair friendly as there are not many pathways. I did however take my dad who is 85yrs and he loved it. You don’t have to walk too much as there are buses that take you around.
