This is a dreadful experience. The tour guide speaks in a garbled voice that is impossible to understand. The AC didn’t work well and you are jammed in like sardines. My brother is 6’3 and could not move his legs. The woman next to me was practically in my lap.

Jacki was our driver and guide. He was a little hard to understand as we are from the south, and well his accent was not. But after we got used to it he shared more knowledge of the area than we will ever remember. The tour does not dawdle. A 30 minute stop at the cliffs was a great chance to stretch our legs and the scenery was beautiful. Otherwise, keep your head on a swivel because the information comes fast. “On your left is this, on your right is that.” Don’t blink or you will miss it. I not complaining there is just a lot of information. The tour does provide a great base of information for you to decide what you want to go back and see if you have more time on the island. Van is comfortable. Not handicap accessible. Much better than the school bus tours we saw. It would be interesting to see if hop on hop off bus tours would work in this community. Public transit is available and convenient but I don’t think you get the narrative.

My daughter and I were lucky to have a tour of Martha’s Vineyard on our most recent trip. Our tour guide, Jocko , who is definitely a local and has extensive knowledge of all things related to the Island. We got to see all parts of the island including a stop at the Aquinnah Cliffs for pictures and checking out the souvenir shops. It was a great addition to our fabulous weekend on the Island .

Troy is a fantastic guide! My family (5 adults with 3 history nerds) absolutely enjoyed every minute of the tour. He’s great at answering questions, and made sure to stop for a couple things on the road that we wanted to see. Very engaging, and the owner (i believe) that we talked to before the tour was also very knowledgeable!! You can tell they care about the community and island a ton.

My son and I were treated to an awesome tour of the entire island! We arrived on the morning ferry, walked in to the hotel, and were able to book a tour departing at 10:30. Our driver was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the island, the architecture, movie facts about the filming of "Jaws", and many celebrities who live on the island. This tour was well worth it! Highly recommend!
