The hike begins at the Beddgelert Information Center and takes you through the picturesque town to the start of the Moel Hebog path. From there, the trail leads straight up to the summit of Moel Hebog, which rises 783 meters above sea level, with an elevation gain of roughly 750 meters. At the summit, hikers will have a lunch break and, weather permitting, can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The journey then continues with a descent to the slightly lower peaks of Moel Yr Ogof at 655 meters and Moel Lefn at 638 meters, offering additional scenic vantage points along the way.

After reaching Moel Lefn, the trail leads into the forest where hikers will walk approximately 3 kilometers along shaded, wooded paths before arriving back at the starting point of the Moel Hebog path. The hike concludes with a gentle walk returning to the Beddgelert Information Center. This full-day adventure provides a mix of challenging ascents, rewarding summit views, and peaceful forest trails, making it a well-rounded experience for nature enthusiasts and hiking lovers.

A very beautiful hike with stunning views! We walked from the forest lodges and campsite and went up through the forest to begin with. We were so lucky with the weather and had perfect clear views from the summit.

Review of Moel Hebog - A Worthwhile Challenge! I recently tackled the climb up Moel Hebog, and I can confidently say it was an exhilarating experience that is absolutely worth the effort! Nestled in the stunning Snowdonia National Park, this mountain offers not only a challenging ascent but also breathtaking views that make every step worthwhile. ### The Climb Moel Hebog is known for its steep and rugged terrain, making it a hard climb that requires a good level of fitness and determination. The path can be rocky and uneven, and there are some sections that really test your stamina and climbing skills. As someone who enjoys a good challenge, I found this aspect of the climb to be incredibly rewarding. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re up for it, the sense of achievement when you reach the summit is unmatched. ### The Views Once you reach the top, you are greeted with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape that are simply breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see the peaks of Snowdonia stretching out before you, as well as the beautiful valleys below. It’s a perfect spot for photos, and there’s nothing quite like enjoying a well-deserved snack while soaking in the stunning scenery. ### Preparation and Tips For those considering this climb, I would recommend going well-prepared. Good hiking boots are essential due to the rocky terrain, and bringing plenty of water and snacks is a must to keep your energy up. It's wise to check the weather conditions before your hike, as they can change rapidly in the mountains. ### Conclusion Overall, climbing Moel Hebog is a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience. The combination of a hard climb, stunning views, and the sense of accomplishment at the summit makes it a must-do for any outdoor enthusiast. If you're looking for an adventure that will test your limits and offer unforgettable scenery, Moel Hebog is definitely worth the effort! I can't wait to return and tackle it again!

An amazing clear day after weeks of poor weather. Such great views over Snowdonia and also out to the coast. Loved it! The hike up from Beddgelert was an easy start and dry. The upper slopes were fairly steep with the summit final pinch being steep, with a little scramble. Kids love this bit! The views make this a very worthwhile hike. Parking in Beddgelert is good if you’re nice and early.

An amazing mountain, the route I took was steep and i felt knackered at the top. No views as the cloud cover was low, but the views below the cloud level were stunning. One of the most scenic walks I've been on. Highly recomended.
