Cruising around doha with Dhow would be nice but too much waiting time. They told me to depart in 20 mins so we took a taxi to be on time but it took more than an hour to wait for this cruise departure whereas they advertise the boat departs every 30 mins. At least they need to advertise correctly they depart when the boat is full.

I had a good time on the Dhow Cruise. I went with a friend after sunset on a Friday. Friday is one of the days of the weekend in Qatar so it was a good day to go. The cruise lasted about 30 minutes and had about 25 people onboard. My friend and I were the first to board so we had to wait for a sizable number of people to show up before the cruise could begin. One thing I didn’t like though were the beetles on board. I don’t know if they were attracted to the lights on the boat but they kept flying in and it was very uncomfortable. I recommend that you go earlier in the day, before sunset to avoid this.
