Our guide Arunee was professional and full of interesting information that made this tour so enjoyable. A private chat with a master monk, visits to 2 temples including the Silver Temple, a 15 minute massage with a little wooden hammer that was a unique experience, and even time to shop for silver and marvel at the silversmiths at work.

First of all, the description of this tour does not do it justice! Lyn met me in town and we went to a temple outside of old town and it was one of the most beautiful I had been to. There I was able to chat with Phra KK (one of the monks on campus) and learn about the history of Buddhism, the different sects, what a day in the life of a monk is like, and learn chants and meditations. Then we went to the silver temple which was beautiful but only men are allowed inside. After that she took me to get a traditional Thai mallet massage. I do not remember the name of the massage I received but it was incredible.
