A Step Back in Time… Cool Bar, Great Vibe, Friendly Staff all in a funky little town that’s a real step back in time. I loved it. It was a cold night so they had the huge potbellied stove fired up keeping the place toasty warm. It felt like Wyatt Earp or Doc Holiday could walk through the door at any moment. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and a couple of Modelo Negra’s and it hit the spot. The Pioneer Bar is a Harvest Host and there’s no way I would’ve found this little town, a photographers gem, if these guys weren’t a host. They approved my stay in record time which I really appreciate in that it helps me in the planning of my trip. Thank you Pioneer Bar for allowing my stay.
Patrolling the Mojave wasteland almost made me wish for a nuclear winter. It was so cool getting to see the saloon in real life and warmed my radiated heart to see the little Fallout corner inside. I had a Cowboy Burger, which was delicious, and fries, which were alright and sat and enjoyed the ambience for a bit. There was hardly anyone there when I visited, so it was pretty quiet. I also got a sunset sarsaparilla from the General Store and it was great. Kind of expensive though (almost $6 for a bottle). Glad I got to come to Goodsprings and see it in real life. Hopefully I'll be back again one day and explore around a little more.
We stopped by as Fallout Fans to check the place out and 100/10 recommend stopping by this place if you even like Fallout! The community dropbox is so special 🥹 and the locals are nice and welcoming. I can’t say much about the food because we didn’t have time to stop for any but there was plenty of people eating there :) They had live music playing when we went on a Friday evening in December.
