These colourful buses, built between the fifties and seventies, are famous for their unique designs and intricate detailing. Each bus was carefully customised with polished chrome parts, decorative paintwork, passenger messages, murals, lucky charms, and trimmings that reflected local culture and traditions. Once a common sight on Malta’s streets, these buses are now reserved for special occasions, weddings, and tourist experiences.
