One of the highlights was dining at Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, where we were treated to authentic flavours set against a stunning historical backdrop. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to explore the culinary culture of Lima in a way that felt both immersive and insightful. From start to finish, Patricia (our guide) displayed deep knowledge and genuine passion for Peruvian food, making the tour not just educational but also enjoyable. I would confidently rate the experience 4.5 out of 5 stars, and highly recommend it to anyone keen to discover the rich flavours of Peru.
Amazing experience! I did the evening tour with Sue who was a fantastic guide sharing her knowledge of Peruvian history and cuisine. We had great conversations on the bus and at the restaurants (and she patiently helped me practice my Spanish). She also scored us a few treats for the special occasions we were celebrating (anniversary/birthday). All the restaurants accomodated for dietary restrictions and the food was amazing - my highlights were the zapallo loche ravioli at Huaca Pucllana Restaurant and the Akira cocktail & vegetarian lomo saltado risotto at Guargüero. A bit of a splurge, but totally worth it!
