I had been looking forward to joining The Asado Experience in Buenos Aires for several years. This women‑run business offers a refreshing and inspiring contrast to the traditionally male‑dominated world of Argentine asados, and I suspected they would raise the bar. I just didn’t realize by how much. Although I’m no asado expert—my Santa Maria grill at home is still waiting to reach its full potential—I signed up to learn the true techniques behind an authentic Argentine asado. The four hours I spent with chefs Topi and Sofía exceeded every expectation. Alongside a small group of guests, I learned the essentials: how to properly start the fire 🔥, how to maintain the perfect heat, and how to cook exceptional cuts of meat sourced from their lifelong family butcher—a secret they guard with admirable loyalty. I now understand why. The experience was invaluable. Topi and Sofía created a warm, welcoming atmosphere as we enjoyed an unforgettable meal paired with outstanding Argentine 🇦🇷 Malbec. The advertised three‑hour experience effortlessly stretched into four, thanks to the wonderful conversation, the camaraderie among guests, and the steady flow of wine. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires, this experience deserves a top spot on your itinerary. Just be prepared to linger—you won’t want it to end.

Amazing experience! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making everyone feel comfortable right away. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, with plenty of great tips shared along the way. A fun, relaxed atmosphere and a memorable activity; I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cooking experience.

It was my first time in The Asado Experience and I was surprised at how comfortable I felt. The experience is set in a family house, and it feels welcoming and relaxed from the moment you arrive. It’s very intimate, and everything flows naturally. The host, Sophie, guides you through the asado while explaining the culture behind it, cooking different very high quality cuts right in front of you. You can tell she genuinely enjoys sharing this tradition, which makes the experience feel personal rather than scripted. The food was excellent, and the wine pairing complemented everything really well. I also enjoyed talking to people from other countries, in my case, they were an American couple and two Uruguayans. Both of them super polite and fun. Experience very much recommended!

It was a great experience, and a highlight of my time in Buenos Aires. The hosts Frederico and Lautaro were such a great pair and made it a really fun experience with laughs and information both. The cooking space is a bright and spacious venue. The food was delicious, and the aperitif and wines an excellent complementation of it.

As an Argentinian I can assure you this is the best asado I’ve ever had in my life. First off, I felt 100% welcomed from the moment I stepped in the house, and the set up made it easy to look into the parrilla and learn the techniques that were being taught to us. Topi was a great hostess, making us feel comfortable, showing us every cut of the asado, explaining everything in detail, answering our questions and cracking jokes with us. The food was excellent, with the best cuts of an asado being presented to us and explained in a way it made us all eager to know more everytime. The cuts were cooked to perfection, accompanied by delicious Argentinian wines and we got to make our own sauce of chimichurri!! I’ll make sure I try it at home. Later we ate an Argentinian much loved dessert, the perfect way to finish the asado. Now for the most important part of an asado: the people. The hostess, Topi, did a great job introducing herself and breaking the ice between us. I got to meet new people and make new friends from the UK. We got to know each other, we ate and laughed together having time of our life's during the asado!! In conclusion, we finished the experience with great food in our bellys, a lot of cooking learned, and new international friends!! If you’re looking for an experience of a real asado as an argentinian would have it, with all the traditions explained, this is the experience for you.

The Asado Experience was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, our host Topi’s energy and warmth made everyone feel instantly at home. She welcomed us into a beautiful family setting that felt genuine and intimate, the kind of place where stories flow as naturally as the wine. The evening unfolded through five courses, each one telling its own story about Argentine culture and the ritual of the asado. Everything was bursting with flavor, it’s impossible for me to pick a favorite. Each course exceeded the last. It’s really inspiring to see women dominate the grill with such class and care. It really motivated me to try grilling for myself. But what really set this experience apart was the people. Around the table, we met travelers from all over the world: a couple from the US, a solo traveller from Canada, and a couple of friends from Russia and England, and by the end of the night, it felt like we had all known each other for years. Conversations flowed easily, and Topi had a natural way of connecting everyone, making sure each guest felt part of something special. Beyond the food and wine, there was a deep sense of authenticity, a glimpse into the heart of Argentine hospitality. You could feel the care, the pride, and the love poured into every detail. To anyone wondering whether to book this experience: don’t hesitate. It’s everything you imagine and more.

I don’t even know where to start this review, because there are so many beautiful things to share beyond the obvious: how delicious the food was!!! The experience took place in a gorgeous old house in Belgrano (one of the prettiest neighborhoods of Buenos Aires if you ask me). The house at first might seem a bit intimidating, but it quickly turned into a warm family home when the hosts lovingly reminded us to make ourselves comfortable and feel at home. The table was beautifully set to welcome us, the weather was perfect, and Topi’s kindness and patience stood out as she walked us through every cut of meat, every element, every little tip and secret, all of which I took notes on, hoping to try someday when I finally dare to make my first asado (though I can’t promise good results). What I’ll remember most is the human warmth of the group I shared the experience with. You arrive with high expectations but without knowing who will be sitting next to you, and that’s part of the magic: being open to surprises, to good conversations, and to connection. We entered as six strangers about to share an asado, and within few minutes it felt like we’d been friends and knew each other for many years!! That’s what this beautiful experience creates: the chance to enjoy an exceptional, top-quality asado in a stunning house, surrounded by people who may start as strangers but soon feel like old friends sharing a truly special meal together! If you are in Buenos Aires i most definetly recommend visiting the Asado Experiencie, trust me, you wont regret it!
