I did the 4-day Inca Trail with Sam Travel, and it was honestly perfect from start to finish. Everything just flowed in that effortless, magical way you secretly hope for when you plan a big trip. Ray was the star of the whole experience. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and patient, but he also somehow became my unofficial photographer. He knew exactly where the best picture spots were and helped me capture some of my favorite photos ever — the kind you look back on and instantly smile. When we did Huayna Picchu, he made sure I felt safe and steady the entire time. I never once felt rushed or worried. Edison and the porter/cook team were amazing as well. Truly the sweetest, hardest-working group. The meals were delicious (I still think about them), and they took care of us with so much warmth and professionalism. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, even on the tougher hiking days. If you’re thinking about doing the Inca Trail, I can’t recommend Sam Travel enough. Beautiful views, great energy, the kindest team, and an experience I’ll always carry with me. ✨

Don't give it a second thought - BOOK SAM Travel for your trip to Cusco! I will recommend all family and friends book through them for future trips. We booked their services for our travel in June. From the airport pickup to drop off, service was fantastic. Ray and Jose were both fantastic! We did the city tour the first day with Jose. Then we spent two days with Ray doing tours through the sacred valley and Machu Picchu. He (& SAM) were very accommodating to us since we had some issues with altitude sickness and had to miss parts of one morning. They were all so informative and even provided new information I didn’t know before (as this was my second time visiting). Forto was also a wonderful driver. He kept us safe through the winding roads through the sacred valley! We also added a hike up to Laguna Humantay with Jhordy, who was a wonderful guide. We would highly recommend booking with them. And will absolutely book with them again in the future.

Incredible Cusco & Machu Picchu Experience with Josep – The Best Guide Ever! We just finished an unforgettable 3-day tour through Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu with Josep, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Day 1 took us through the best of Cusco – Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Josep’s deep knowledge of Incan history and culture made every site come alive. He explained the stories and significance behind each location in such an engaging way, and his passion for Peru’s history is contagious. Day 2 was a full-day adventure through the Sacred Valley, including Pisaq, the Salt Mines, Moray, and Ollantaytambo. The views were crazy good — from the terraced mountainsides to the shimmering salt pools. Josep knew all the best photo spots and shared fascinating details that we never would have noticed on our own. Day 3 was the grand finale: Machu Picchu. Josep handled everything perfectly and somehow timed our visit to avoid the biggest crowds. Standing there as he shared the history and meaning of the site was an unforgettable moment. Josep was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable — but what really stood out was how much he genuinely cared that we had the best possible experience. If you’re visiting Cusco or Machu Picchu, ask for Josep. He made our trip absolutely perfect!

We had an amazing experience visiting Machu Picchu with our guide, Liz Montesinos from SAM Travel Peru. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture. Liz was also incredibly kind and patient, making sure everyone in our group was comfortable and enjoying the day. Plus, she took some of the best photos of our trip. She knows all the best spots and took truly great photos and didn’t try to make us do cheesy poses like some other guides try to. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Machu Picchu. She really made our 2-day trip to Sacred Valley and Machu Pichu very special!

We recently completed the 4-day Inca Trail with Sam Travel Peru, and it was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, everything was organised so well and the entire experience exceeded expectations. A special shout-out to our guide, Miguel. On a trek like this, where you’re constantly on the move, crossing different terrains in rain or shine, the difference between a good guide and a great guide becomes very clear. Miguel wasn’t just knowledgeable about the Incas, the surroundings, and the history—he also brought humour, encouragement, and positivity exactly when we needed it most. On Day 2, tackling Dead Woman’s Pass, when doubts crept in, he adjusted his pace so we could make it through. His sense of humour lifted our spirits and made the hardest moments memorable in the best way. He also became Miguel the photographer and videographer, often taking our cameras to take epic shots! We also want to give a huge thanks to our chef, Moyses. The meals he created on a simple gas burner were beyond impressive—delicious, hearty, and exactly what we needed to fuel each day. And finally, the biggest appreciation goes to the hardworking porters. They are the real heroes of the Inca Trail. Carrying heavy loads across difficult terrain, setting up camp so quickly before we arrived, and always working with such dedication—they made this trip possible and deserve all the credit. Thank you, Sam Travel, for organising such an epic and unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu. An experience we’ll never forget!
