I joined a night walking tour through Mumbai and it was an amazing experience! Seeing the city after dark gives it a completely different atmosphere, and my guide Subhan showed me some wonderful corners I would never have found on my own. We already knew each other from a tour I booked a week earlier, and once again it was fantastic. He took lots of photos of me, made sure I stayed hydrated, and overall created a safe and enjoyable experience.

This tour is brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend it. Javed is a great guide and the early morning (5am start) tour was incredible. We visited the fish market (with a delicious stop for breakfast at the cafe), Dobi Ghat, the vegetable market and then the flower market. We went on a local train for sone of the journey and experienced the hustle and bustle. We are from London and I thought our markets were busy. They don’t compare to these. The flower market was not for the faint hearted. It was very busy and very long but the colours and scents were incredible. Javed was the perfect host and looked after us at every step.

Our guide was lovely but we paid for a walking tour with local snacks and were put in a group that were doing a free walking tour of Mumbai. Therefore, we didn’t actually do the itinerary we paid for which was very disappointing as we thought we would end at marine drive to watch the sunset - this was one of the reasons we had booked this tour in the first place. Our guide got us some snacks at the end but we thought we would be stopping in places along the way. This didn’t happen because the others in our group were not on the same type of tour.
