Normally, I usually travel alone, but this time, the town was hit by a disaster due to a cyclone, and I was worried about which roads I could walk on, so I decided to join a tour. The guide was a very gentlemanly and kind man. As I was wearing sneakers, he guided me down back alleys to avoid large puddles, which I thought was a kind consideration only a local could show. When taking photos, he was considerate to me, showing me good angles and asking people in the market for permission to take photos, which I was very grateful to him for and felt very reassured. In the end, he also arranged for an Uber and made sure I got into a tuk-tuk. He was a truly gentlemanly and wonderful guide. He also took photos of me on my smartphone, which gave me some wonderful photos to remember. If I come to Chennai again, I will definitely ask him for help.

Our tour was fantastic. Our guide Riyaz was amazing. He was friendly, polite and informative. He went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our surrounds and shared his knowledge of the history in the places we walked. He looked after our safety during the tour as we crossed the busy roads.
