The Trek Checkpoint ALR4 is a versatile and reliable gravel bike designed for comfort and performance on a variety of terrains. It features a lightweight Alpha Series aluminum frame with internal cable routing, rack and fender mounts, and flat mount disc brakes for confident control. The carbon fork adds comfort and stability, while tubeless-ready Bontrager rims and wide gravel tires provide excellent grip. Equipped with a Shimano GRX drivetrain, SRAM Apex crankset, and a balanced gear range, this bike is ideal for both urban routes and longer countryside rides. Advance booking is required, as availability cannot be guaranteed within twenty four hours of notice, and a refundable deposit along with valid identification will be requested.

Just dropped in on the off chance that I could pick up a helmet. I left happier than I went in and got a very nice helmet. Very nice people. Shop had great choice of all things bicycles. Cant say better than that.

I brought my son’s bike wheel to this shop to replace a bent axle. The attendant initially suggested he could just “straighten” the bolt, but I specifically said that wasn’t safe for a child’s bike and asked for a proper replacement. He agreed and quoted me €25 for the job. When I collected the wheel and fitted it to the bike, the exact same issue was still there—just slightly less noticeable. It was obvious the axle had not been replaced, only bent back into shape. I returned with the whole bike. At first, he insisted the wheel was fine while spinning it in his hands. When I asked him to actually fit it to the bike, he was visibly annoyed. Once it was clear the problem remained, he tried to claim that “all bikes are like that, even new ones.” I challenged him to show me just one bike in the shop with the same problem—out of the 100 bikes on display—and of course, the wheel on the bike he picked was perfectly straight and he said he doesn’t have time for this. His attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. He failed to do the work I paid for, and instead of taking responsibility, he tried to brush me off with excuses. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. ⚠️ Avoid this place at all costs. I will never return, and I strongly recommend others take their business elsewhere.

I recently purchased a new Racing bike from HD Bike & Sport and am absolutely delighted with my new Giant Defy :-) The guys have so much knowledge and experience with bikes and are only too happy to share their knowledge and offer you essential tips. I had the best of Customer experiences with HD and i cannot rate them highly enough based on their friendly and non-pushy approach when offering advice on the bikes on display. If its supplies you require for your cycle or running they also stock plenty of options including vegan options. Top marks to HD and i will be back many times in the future. If I could give 10 stars I would !! I bought a racing bike recently and got excellent service straight away, I was offered a few upgrades and they tuned the bike to my specifications / preferences. I had a crash very shortly after and they sorted me out just in time for a race, these guys are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I would drive any day from Dublin to shop with them, special shout out to Toby for helping me out and coming through with the bike repair so quickly. I’m very grateful to them and cannot recommend the shop highly enough.
