Experience the hidden beauty and cultural richness of Qatar’s western desert with the Zekreet and Sheikh Faisal Museum Tour. This immersive six-hour journey invites travelers to slow down, leave the city behind, and explore landscapes that feel untouched by time. The adventure begins with a comfortable 4×4 ride through open roads, where the skyline fades and strange sandstone formations emerge, creating an almost otherworldly desert scene. Visitors can enjoy quiet moments at Zekreet Beach, where the sand meets the sea in perfect solitude, and witness the sweeping desert landscapes that have inspired generations. Along the way, the tour combines natural wonder, wildlife observation, and cultural exploration, offering a rare perspective on a side of Qatar most people never see.

Discover a world of history, wildlife, and personal curiosity as you continue to the Al Maha Sanctuary and the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum. At the sanctuary, there is a chance to see the Arabian Oryx roaming freely in its protected habitat, a majestic sight for nature lovers. The museum offers a self-paced exploration of one of Qatar’s most remarkable private collections, spanning antiques, vintage cars, manuscripts, and artifacts from around the world. With no guides or strict schedules, visitors can move at their own pace, absorbing history, culture, and artistry on their own terms. A charming and eclectic collection of artifacts collected throughout a man’s rich and cultured life. However, the curation could be improved. The car collection was immaculate and buried featuring items of immeasurable value, such as the first imported Qatari Rolls-Royce however parts of the museum have significant factual inaccuracies specifically the Soviet Union section and the costumes featured as national wear.

Must visit place if you're a car guy! This place have a lot of things like fossils, stones, remains of old structures, ammunitions, attires, jewelry, sports etc. But the most interesting thing was the massive collection of cars. Not just cars, there are trucks, vans, and even a plane! The cars were of different brands including Porsche,Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Cadillac,Pontiac, Chevy,Dodge,Jeep,Willys,Mercedes, BMW,Audi,Subaru,Nissan,Toyota,Honda, and the list goes on and on. The museum is situated right behind the Leaning Minaret. They have some expansion works going on now,so probably much more collections will be available soon. Try to come in the morning or early in the afternoon,as it will take some time to explore all of it. Also, there's a farm and horse riding club nearby, which closes by 5pm.

The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is a wonderful destination for a family day out, especially with kids. The museum is impressively large and thoughtfully organized into different sections, each focusing on unique subjects such as history, culture, art, and vintage collections. Every part of the museum offers something new to discover, keeping both adults and children engaged and curious. The vast collection of artifacts reflects Qatar’s rich heritage and global connections, making the visit both educational and entertaining. The staff members are very friendly, welcoming visitors with warm smiles and helpful information throughout the tour. It’s easy to spend several hours exploring without feeling rushed. Located about a 30 minute drive from the highway, the journey itself is pleasant and worth it once you arrive. We absolutely love this museum, it’s a great place to spend quality time together and create lasting memories!
