This three course program is specifically designed to train students to sail confidently and proficiently on a thirty foot keelboat in light to moderate sea and wind conditions. Throughout the course, students gain practical knowledge and hands on experience that prepares them to act as both competent skipper and crew. Emphasis is placed on understanding all parts of the sailboat, learning important knots, and mastering points of sail to navigate effectively and safely in various conditions.

In addition to foundational skills, the course focuses on essential maneuvers needed for safe and efficient sailing. Students are trained and tested in tacking, jibing, heaving to, reefing, and performing man overboard procedures. By the end of the program, participants are well equipped with the confidence, technical knowledge, and practical experience required to manage a keelboat on the water responsibly and skillfully.
