Very long wait. Colosseum was opening at 8.30am and when we've arrived at 7.30am the que was already massive. We took a guided tour and it was great, we've learned alot of facts about Rome history. We entered Colosseum at 12 and we've spent an hour there. Breathtaking view... Would recommend to buy tickets in advance and go to Colosseum first and then to Roman forum and Palatine Hill as you need much more time to see everything in the other 2 places

Seeing the Colosseum in person is an experience that goes far beyond expectations. The sheer scale, detail, and presence of this ancient masterpiece are absolutely breathtaking. Walking around and inside the Colosseum feels like stepping back in time, where every stone carries centuries of history, power, and emotion. The atmosphere is overwhelming in the best way — majestic, humbling, and deeply inspiring. Whether you visit during the day or under the glow of the evening lights, the Colosseum leaves a lasting impression and reminds you why Rome is truly eternal. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that should be at the top of any travel list. 🏛️🇮🇹✨

Visiting the Colosseum is an unforgettable experience and absolutely worth seeing while in Rome. Standing inside such an iconic and historic structure is awe-inspiring — the scale, architecture, and sense of history are incredible. Walking through the Colosseum really brings ancient Rome to life. It’s easy to imagine the crowds, the events, and the importance this place once held. The views from different levels are impressive, and there are plenty of spots to stop, take photos, and soak it all in. Even with crowds, the experience felt well organized and moved smoothly. Seeing the Colosseum alongside nearby historic areas makes it even more impactful and helps you appreciate how central it was to Roman life. If you’re visiting Rome, the Colosseum is a must-see landmark and an experience that truly lives up to its reputation.

Absolutely breathtaking and lives up to its reputation. Seeing it in person is impressive, both for its massive scale and its historical presence. Walking around the Colosseum really makes you feel the weight of history and the importance of ancient Rome. It’s stunning from every angle and especially striking at different times of the day. A true symbol of the city and an unmissable landmark that makes any visit to Rome unforgettable. Don’t forget to eat a classic square pizza at Bottega 67 nearby — simple, local, and totally worth it.

Like anyone else who visits Rome, we had to see the Colosseum. It absolutely had to be part of our short stay. I know there’s nothing more that I could add in my comments regarding the history that anyone that visits it would already know. But I can say that standing beside it and touring through it is absolutely an amazing feeling. Your are standing in History. The good and bad history of the structure cannot be overstated, but it is an amazing structure and to see it while it’s still standing is absolutely incredible. Although it can be busy most days, if you give yourself an entire half day or even a full day, and resign yourself to the lineups, you can explore this amazing piece of history in great detail. Take your time while exploring. One the east, southeast, side of the Colosseum, there is a small area with several really great restaurants that you can visit for lunch or dinner while touring around. My wife and I sat on a nearby patio, literally directly across the street and just enjoyed the view of the Colosseum while enjoying some great Italian food and drink. We were also pleasantly surprised that the restaurant that we visited had really great pricing considering they were so close to the Colosseum and all of the tourists in the area. We would highly recommend visiting the Colosseum while in Rome Paul and Andrea Canada 🇨🇦
