⭐ 1-Star Review – Very Disappointed with Product Quality & Staff Behaviour I had a very bad experience at Smyths Toys in Blanchardstown. We bought an RC truck from the store, and the quality was extremely poor. The plastic was very weak, and the remote got damaged just from a small fall from my child’s hand. I went back to the store and politely asked if they could provide a replacement remote, and I even offered to pay for it. But the staff’s attitude was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping or even explaining the options properly, they dismissed the issue and did not show any willingness to assist. For a store of this size, I expected much better customer service and product quality. Very disappointed, and this experience has made me think twice before purchasing from Smyths Toys again.

Pros: Friendly young staff members, always happy to help. If it's not their department/aisle, they'll call for someone else who may have a better idea. I was in two weeks ago lookingfor something that was only showing a stock of 1 on the website, and one of the young lads (sorry I can't remember his name) went to the back and searched for over 5 mins to find the last one for me. Can't ask for more than that, I really appreciated it! Sure, on a hectic weekend day you might find that they're spread pretty thin, with staff being run ragged all over the shop but they're always back at their designated station and happy to help. Shelves usually always full, or staff working to try replenish stock. Great selection for all ages, ranging from puzzles and dolls, to swing sets and video games. The lady at the front desk, was very helpful and friendly. The 'click & collect' option on the website is very efficient, and the prices here are better than anywhere else, particularly when it comes to the software items. Cons: Managers. They must win the role in a raffle. I went in one evening on a weekday, and two managers were standing chatting near the front of the store near the customer service desk, and my 6 year old nephew was with me. The female manager was loudly swearing with no regard for anyone around her, including my nephew and other young children. I went to collect an item I'd purchased via the efficient click & collect service on the website, the same manager sighed when she had to go get it and had such an attitude when I asked to purchase a bag. On another occasion, I saw another manager (I think his name is Conan, though I'm not sure, it sounded like that) scream at a younger manager and get in his face, seeming to egg him on. It was so strange. This is going back a while so hopefully they're gone and no longer around children.. or the general public. Overall, great store very helpful and friendly staff, offering to help you out with your purchase if you have bulky items. I'd give the store 5 stars if we're judging by the service of the floor staff, prices and selection, even the security guards seem friendly... but can't, due to the bizarre behaviour of the floor managers.

On my recent visit to Smyths Toys Superstores, I was genuinely impressed. The store had an amazing selection, from the latest toys to gadgets and outdoor fun gear. Kids dream world. An amazing place where you can get something for kids of all ages. We can get toys of all price ranges. And at times there are toys at reduced prices, which would be priced really low compared to the original prices. The products are of very good quality. These shops are distributed all over Ireland. The staff is very helpful as well.
