What an amazing afternoon! Our family, 2 adults and 2 teens, cooked some wonderful Panamainia cuisine and received a great history lesson as well. I highly recommend this if you like food and learning about other cultures. The owner and chef is fantastic and friendly. Great activity to pair with a coffee tasting (which is also available in the same space)

Attended one of Ana’s cooking classes with a group of about 15 people and we had a blast! Ana and her team made the experience both fun and informative. We learned about the history of Panamanian cuisine and tried some local snacks and appetizers before making our own tamales. Every part of the experience was well thought out. 10/10 would recommend to anyone traveling to Panama and wanting to understand the country and its cuisine better! Thank you Ana!

Such an AMAZING experience with history, lovely food, cooking, story time, and of course drinks. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Panama! The women working, including the owner and founder Ana are absolutely the best! Thank you so much ❤️

Cooking class with Anna We took Anna’s cooking classes around Casco Vejo. The cooking class was amazing! She gave us a detailed history of Panama and the Panamain food. She is a great teacher and makes the classes interesting. She made the class very social-able. This tour was one of our favourite things to do in Panama. We made about 4 different types of dishes which included a juice, patacones, ceviche, and tamales and after the class she gave us Panamanian pastries to try. Anna said the dishes are always a surprise, but she does ask for dietary restrictions beforehand. She allowed us to bring our own alcohol to make a date out of it. She makes cooking seem easy and she makes you want to try it for yourself at home. Please, do not skip Anna’s cooking class when you’re in Casco Viejo! Food and city tour with Anna After the cooking class I had to sign up for a food tour of Panama with Anna. I never heard much about the Panamanian cuisine beforehand. Without giving too much away we started in a historical cafe. She knows the local people very well and is very knowledgeable about the history of Panama. Not only is this a food tour, but she also takes you around the markets where the locals shop (caso viejo is a tourist destination- not many locals shop there) and some of her favourite local spots. She gives you great detail on how the city has evolved with culture and food. She will take you from China town to the fish market. Don’t miss this tour with Anna, food tours Panama!

I can’t say enough about how fortunate I feel to have met Ana. It was just our luck that our trip occurred a couple weeks after protests erupted nation-wide in Panama. Ana was good enough to keep us updated on what was occurring before our arrival. We decided to continue our trip and felt safe with Ana who helped us to navigate the situation, even beyond our time with her. Our group of 11 did a food walking food tour with Ana, which began with breakfast at her studio. Her hojaldras (a kind of fried dough) were AMAZING. I still dream of them! The walking tour was wonderful. We learned a lot of history and were able to learn the Santa Ana area that abuts Casco Viejo. Many members of our group returned to some of the spots that Ana took us. We also had two dinners at Ana’s studio. Again, her food is AMAZING! Ana is not only professional, but also just a good, kind-hearted person, which is not always easy to find these days. I whole-heartedly recommend Ana!
