Mandai Night Safari had always hold a special place in our family. We decided to spend my birthday in Night Safari this year. We loved being out in the nature at night, exploring the nature and the nocturnal animals. The air was very fresh after a heavy downpour and the ambience temperature was very cooling. The park opened at 7pm (there was a small mistake on the park's map stating opening time at 6.30pm). We waited near the park entrance for the 'Creatures of the night' show at 7.30pm. You will need to book online to watch the show. You may book online 2 hours prior the show. Show timings will be at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm. The show was very interesting displaying the different nocturnal behaviours of the animals. One of our best part of the show was the owls, which you won't get to see in the Singapore Zoo or even Bird Paradise. One of the favourite part of our trip was the tram ride, we really enjoyed sitting comfortably on the tram, listening to the explanation of the different animals, and enjoying the night breeze. The tram ride was about 28 minutes, ending with the Night Safari mascot, Chawang! There was no alighting stops midway, hence you would alight at the same tram stop you board the tram. After the tram ride, we started hiking along the well-planned animal trails (pangolin trail, leopard trail, tiger trail, tasmanian devil trail), there were also flying fox walkthrough and civet walkthrough midway through the park where you got to walk into the exhibit with the animals very close to you. Park keepers were stationed in each of them explaining the animals and their behaviours to you. When you were midway through the park, you might need a restroom break or a light snack, there was a 'East Lodge', where you could get some rest, drinks, snacks and restroom break. After the rest, you may proceed to visit the exhibits of the majestic animals like Asian lions, Bengal white tigers, Nile hippopotamus, Indian rhinos and Asian elephants. After we finished the trails, we still had some time left. We decided to board the tram ride once again to enjoy the night breeze while watching the animals. We ended up taking two more rides. There was less crowd on the tram rides nearing the closing time, so it was really enjoyable. We really enjoyed our visit very much! Thank you so much to all park keepers, making our visit a special one.

It's been a while since my last visit to Night Safari, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the changes! I visited on a weekday night with my daughter and the crowd was bearable. We even managed to catch the show by scanning the QR provided which was fuss free, and my daughter was fully engaged the entire time. She absolutely loved the binturong. Since I had a child with me, Faris approached us and took the time to guide us on where we should explore first. He suggested the walking trail, followed by the tram ride, and I agree that this is the best route to fully experience the park, especially after catching the animal show! Once we had finished the walking trail, Faris attended to us again and even gave us the best seats for the tram (which is the seats towards the outside of the tram btw!!). To see the free roaming deers walking so close beside us was such a core memory for me and my daughter! He is such an amazing staff all around, and we enjoyed our visit thanks to him. Kudos to the Night Safari team! 🌙✨

The Night Safari was one of best zoo experiences I’ve had anywhere! It was really cool to see a variety of nocturnal animals being active in their enclosures. There was always just enough light to see them, but not too much that would disrupt them. To me, that was very well thought out by everyone involved. The tram ride was my absolute favorite! It was smooth, informative and had really good views from all sides. Also, the loading of the tram was seamlessly done by the staff. They were awesome. I can’t wait to visit again!

It was a brand-new experience for me, even though I’ve been there a few times before. This time, I had a spontaneous outing with my boy to the Night Safari. We both truly enjoyed it and spent a joyful evening together. Recommended route: Enter around 7:20 PM, and immediately book the 7:30 PM animal show by scanning the QR code outside the theatre. After the show, go for the walking trail first to avoid the large crowds waiting for the tram ride. You’ll get to enjoy a peaceful walk through the trail. Once you finish the walk, hop on the tram ride by then, there’s usually no queue. Tram ride will end with Chawang the Bull Elephant. After the tram ride, it’s just the right time to head home. With this route, we didn’t have to wait for any of the activities, everything flowed smoothly! Bonus tip: Check the tiger feeding or release time, a zookeeper will be there for a short Q&A session where you can ask anything about Suri the Tiger. 🐅 This is a Friday night experience.

We had a great experience at the Night Safari! Our tickets weren’t scanning properly at the entrance due to it being a third party seller. (Highly recommend you purchase the tickets from the direct website) But the manager, Chand, went above and beyond to help us. Even while managing a busy crowd, he took the time to sort out our issue quickly and made sure we got in without any stress. His professionalism and kindness really stood out. We could tell he genuinely cares about the guests and about making the Night Safari an amazing experience for everyone. The Creatures of the Night show was also such a highlight! It was fun seeing the animals come out on stage and show off their natural behaviors up close. During the tram ride and walking trails, we got to spot all kinds of animals in their nighttime habitats. It can be a little tricky to see some of them since it’s dark, but we really appreciated how the park keeps the lighting low to protect the animals’ sensitivity to light and noise. We are really appreciative of Chand and the night safari team. We had a wonderful night and would definitely recommend the Night Safari to anyone visiting Singapore!
