Half Day sailing to Magdlena Island Penguin Colony from Punta Arenas Season from October to March

This half day excursion begins with pickup at 6.30 am or 1.30 pm from Punta Arenas airport or your hotel, followed by transfer to Muelle Prat. From here, board a catamaran to begin a scenic navigation through the historic Strait of Magellan. Accompanied by a professional local guide, the journey offers views of open waters and Patagonian wildlife as you travel toward Magdalena Island.

The catamaran ride lasts approximately two hours each way. Upon arrival at Magdalena Island, you will have about one hour to walk and observe the impressive Magellanic penguin colony in its natural habitat. After enjoying the surroundings and wildlife, return by catamaran to Muelle Prat, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or the airport.
