Fishing from the boat is strictly prohibited, and approaching vessels involved in whale-watching activities is not permitted. Boats must not dock at or enter Vila Franca Islet, whether by boat or by swimming. When anchoring near the islet, maintain a minimum distance of 30 meters from the coast.
Additional restrictions apply near supervised beaches, where sailing or anchoring within 150 meters of the coast is prohibited. If docking at Vila Franca Marina or the town, renters must visit the marina reception and pay the applicable daily fee. Following these rules helps protect the local environment and ensures a safe boating experience.
