The adventure begins with a pick up from your hotel in El Calafate, where you'll board comfortable buses for a scenic drive towards the breathtaking Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will provide fascinating details about the region, the Perito Moreno Glacier, and the itinerary of the day. Once you arrive at Bajo de las Sombras port, you'll board a boat to cross Lago Rico, offering stunning views of the glacier as you approach the south face of Perito Moreno.

Upon disembarking, you'll be greeted by expert mountain guides who will lead you on a guided trekking adventure. The hike begins with a walk along the picturesque coast of Lago Rico, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the glacier’s awe-inspiring beauty. As you get closer to the glacier, the guides will provide a talk on glaciology, helping you understand the science behind the spectacular icy landscape before you. At this point, you’ll be divided into smaller groups of up to 20 people, and your guides will equip you with crampons and helmets to ensure safety as you embark on the ice trekking portion of the tour.

The three-hour trek takes you across the lake’s coast, a moraine, and through Patagonian forests, where the stunning blue hues of the glacier frame your surroundings.
