Trilho Ruinas

The Ruins Experience is far more than a simple trail, offering a deep journey through nature history and the spirit of the western coast of Flores Island. The walk begins in the peaceful village of Mosteiro, where rural life blends with stories of the sea pirates and ancient communities that shaped this unique landscape. From the start, the surroundings reveal green valleys clear streams and lush vegetation, creating a sense of untouched nature. As the walk continues, the atmosphere becomes almost mystical while passing beneath the impressive Rocha dos Bordoes seen from a rare perspective. The trail then descends toward a valley leading to Fajazinha, crossing timeless landscapes dotted with traditional houses old corrals and flowing streams. The journey ends in majestic Faja Grande near the iconic Poco do Bacalhau waterfall, providing a powerful and memorable finale.
