Highly recommend booking a sunset catamaran with Sail Wild hearts. They offered drink and snack options throughout the cruise. My husband actually got motion sickness during the sail and let me tell you they were wonderful!

This was one of the best sailing tours we have been on. The boat is fabulous. Who doesn't love a cat'? The captain and crew...so very friendly, talkative and informative. Captain even let this big kid(me...lol) hold the wheel, which was fabulous for me! ❤️ I had my 83 year old mama and my 64 year old boyfriend when me. They both loved the cruise! The snacks were delicious! There was no alcohol for sale on the boat ( which was great) but some people brought a small cooler. The sunset was just perfect. I think we went on 11/15/25. That whole week was the best weather for us! Best the end of the cruise, we went around in Bayou St. John. The dolphins were feeding and jumping. We saw plenty. All in all...definitely a 5 star experience!

We've been coming to Gulf Shores in the off-season every year for the last seven years. This is, hands down, the best thing we've done in all those years. We did the sunset cruise with our kids and a family friend. It was excellent. Everybody loved it. We've done other dolphin cruises, but those were more like cramming onto a bus and just sitting around waiting to get a look at some dolphins. This one was an experience unto itself, even ignoring the dolphins. It wasn't even much more than the "bus" tours, and worth every penny.

We had THE BEST time on Sail Wild Hearts, taking their Blue Angels cruise on September 16, 2025! The captain and crew are very friendly and attend to your needs. Today's sailing had about 40 passengers but the vessel never felt crowded. There are plenty of places to spread out on the boat both in the shade and in the sun. The Wild Hearts description of this cruise is very accurate except for a two things we experienced today: First, bring your swimsuit because if the weather conditions allow, the captain will take you to a secluded beach near Fort Pickens or across the way at For McRee. We stopped at Fort Pickens today for about 45 minutes where many passengers enjoyed the water, paddle boarding, and kayaking, all included with your fare! Even though we are locals, we felt like we were on a cruise ship excursion. It was wonderful! Second, the website states that "A light lunch" would be served. I beg to differ on that! They served breakfast when we first boarded and then at lunch they served your choice of sandwiches, potato salad, chips, a "captain's salad" which was a fresh mixture of avocado, tomatoes, lime juice, lemon juice, chick peas, and other things. It was DELICIOUS on nacho chips or just plain on a fork! They also included iced coffee in various flavors as well as sodas and water. For you Blue Angels photographers, the captain gets you INTO the middle of the action! I've watched the Blue Angels practice from many different perspectives, but today was just awesome! Whether you're a local like my wife and I or you are a visitor to the area looking for a unique excursion, you can't go wrong with these guys. It was a great way to spend the day!

We went on the Sunset Sail. It was wonderful! The ship is a 53 foot catamaran. There are bathrooms on board (one men's and one women's). They serve light appetizers like chips and dip, soft drinks, and water. Alcohol is not served but you can bring your own, if you like. The crew was competent and pleasant. The cruise was between 1.5 and 2 hours long. We went from the inlet to close to Gulf Shores down the beach. Then, turned around, went a little further than the inlet where the boat is docked, and then came back to the inlet. The whole sailing experience was very relaxing. Even the part where our ship was shot at with fake cannons from a 'pirate' ship was fun. Definitely recommend! One note for if you are sailing with children - the dock leading to the ship has a rope banister but nothing between that and the dock. So, you will want to keep a close eye on kids, as there is nothing to keep them from slipping down into the water.
