PADI Underwater Naturalist

Spend an educational and inspiring day diving with a qualified marine biologist while exploring the Mediterranean Sea. Learn how underwater ecosystems function, how marine organisms interact, and how balance is maintained within a complex ecological system. During expert-led theory sessions, you will gain insight into marine life behavior, habitats, and the human impacts affecting the sea today. With clear waters of the Eastern Mediterranean Basin, this experience combines learning with real underwater observation, helping you better understand what you see while diving.

You will complete two guided dives at sheltered dive sites, carefully selected for calm conditions and excellent visibility. Before entering the water, your guide will explain the dive site, highlight key species to look for, and describe their role within the ecosystem. After the first dive, enjoy a relaxed lunch break at a nearby beach taverna before returning for the afternoon dive. The day concludes back at the dive center by late afternoon, where you may review photos taken during the dives. Participants are expected to complete required theory learning in advance and meet certification and fitness requirements.
