I have been coming to the sauna since it first opened here and it is without a doubt always the absolute highlight of my week. It is an idyllic spot and the sauna is run beautifully. Despite being a regular here I’d never tried aromatherapy in the sauna before and honestly didn’t realise how powerful it could be. I arrived feeling tired and puffy (one of those mornings), and left feeling deeply calm, relaxed and genuinely restored – I looked and felt like a different person by the end. The oil Jayne makes herself is absolutely beautiful, and you can really feel the care and intention behind it. Isla was a wonderful host warm, knowledgeable and thoughtful explaining the oils and their benefits so clearly, as well as the background to the sound bathing, which made the whole experience feel grounded and special. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better. Wish I could keep this place a secret but it’s too good not to share.

We had an amazing time at the Eden springs wild Sauna - this was our first time and will definitely be back. There was a really beautiful view of the loch with swans swimming past! There's not much space for changing inside so probably best to arrive with your swimmers on. Pair of crocs is also handy and plenty of towels!

Love this sauna! beautiful location; great views with the cold water swimming lake only a few steps from the sauna! The staff are very friendly and helpful and keep the sauna very clean. I loved my 2 visits here so far (host the first time was Celly and 2nd time was Johnny

Superb spring sauna at this new site. Gathered a group of friends together and enjoyed cold water dipping and sauna experience. Such a special and private location. Oliver the sauna’s attendant was very helpful and accommodating when we asked for photos. Highly recommend as we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt rejuvenated. We’ll be back soon, very soon.

I've been 3 times to Eden Springs Sauna now and it's absolutely my favourite sauna. It's so close to the loch for a perfect chilly dip to cool down from the sauna. The views are fabulous, swimming next to fields of sheep and with the occasional swan is idyllic. Sadly, it's let down by the terrible access and lack of signage. The sauna is difficult to find and there's no obvious location amongst the lochs - the location on Google maps and what3words seems to be accurate, though. When you do figure out where you're going, there's a very poorly maintained muddy car park full of potholes and what feels like an actual ditch to get into it. I'd recommend parking roadside instead - nearer to the cafe (not on the A92! On the road within Eden Springs Country Park). There's then an uneven muddy track downhill to the sauna at the lochside. Not great for anyone with mobility or balance issues. Wellies are a must, although I don't know what it'll be like in icy or snowy conditions. All of this means that people are often late for the sauna and miss some of their time and some people arrive pretty grumpy, understandably, but it really isn't fair to the staff and doesn't make for a great start to a relaxing sauna. Thankfully the sauna works it's magic, hidden away in its peaceful location, the hassles of arriving and getting lost are soon forgotten as you sit in the toasty sauna and dip in the freezing water. In common with other saunas dotted around the Scottish countryside, changing is outdoors and that's also where you leave your belongings. I find taking something to stand on to get changed is useful. There is a small indoor changing area at the entrance to the sauna but it'd be difficult for more than one person to use it at a time and this isn't something I've ever known sauna users to do at any of the saunas I've visited. The Wild Scottish Sauna at Eden Springs is fantastic, I highly recommend it; but I hope that fixing the parking, accessibility and signage issues are a priority to bring it up to a perfect 5* experience.
