There are a lot of options for tasting rooms in Carmel, Albatross Ridge is our favorite. Jonathan and Anthony are friendly and informative. If you’re in Carmel, stop in and have a tasting.
🍷 great spot! After a long drive into town, my wife and I were looking for a spot. With so many places closed already, we were thankful Albatross was not only open, but provided a great experience. Anthony served us and was great. We did the 3 option tasting and then ordered another glass. We also did a charcuterie board that was a nice size as well. Anthony had a lot of insight about the differences in wines and the process of bottling certain wines, super fun to learn. Keep up the great work!
Stopped by this location for a quick tasting, and the ambiance was okay very nice modern location. Unfortunately, the customer service was not great. This was my second time here, and it was very sad to experience such a difference from the first time, when I had a wonderful experience. The guy that helped us looked annoyed to be there, didn't explain anything really during the tasting, and never once asked if everything was okay. I probably would've purchased a couple of bottles since the wine actually was very good, but the lack of service and knowledge from him really made me reconsider ever going back. I also had to ask for olives, he said, let me see what I can do. Then, once I got billed, I noticed he charged an outrageous amount for 4 olives. Money isn’t the problem it’s not getting a receipt. Overcharging and expecting a great tip is not a good look for a place of business, especially when someone has such a horrible attitude. Will not be returning.
