Visiting the Dubai Mall Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is an unforgettable experience. The aquarium itself is massive, with a stunning suspended tank that houses thousands of marine creatures, including majestic sharks, graceful rays, and colorful tropical fish. Walking through the glass tunnel feels like being fully submerged in the ocean. It’s mesmerising to see these creatures swimming all around. Interactive exhibits and educational displays make it fun and informative for both kids and adults. It’s a perfect blend of entertainment and learning, and a must see for anyone visiting Dubai.

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo inside the Dubai Mall is an impressive stop, though it comes with a few caveats. While you can see the massive main tank for free from the mall, buying a ticket gets you into the 48-meter walkthrough tunnel and the Underwater Zoo on the upper level. The tunnel itself is stunning but surprisingly short; you can walk through it in about 10–15 minutes, but the view of the sharks and rays swimming overhead is undeniable. The real value lies in the Underwater Zoo upstairs. It is split into three zones: Rainforest, Rocky Shore, and Living Ocean. The highlight here is undoubtedly "King Croc," a massive saltwater crocodile that is genuinely awe-inspiring. The presentation and enclosure for him are top-notch. The penguin encounter is cute if you have kids, though the area can feel a bit small. I recommend the "Explorer" ticket if you want a bit more than just the basics, but skip the glass-bottom boat ride unless you have time to kill—it’s a very short loop and doesn't offer a drastically different view than the tunnel. Crowds can be overwhelming, especially on weekends. Go early on a weekday morning to actually enjoy the exhibits without being jostled. Overall, it’s a bit pricey for the duration (expect to spend about 60–90 minutes total), but it’s a solid, well-maintained attraction that offers a nice break from shopping.

The Dubai Aquarium and Zoo is absolutely outstanding! They are in the Dubai mall and I have never seen such crystal clear water and animals in captivity that are so happy! I am until blown away but how clear the water is, how well-maintained everything is, how clean everything is, and how happy the animals look! For many of the animals, you can actually go super close, probably closer than in most other zoos! We highly highly recommend to go, it’s an absolutely amazing experience, from stingrays, sharks, Australian saltwater crocodiles, an axolotl, turtles, and many more! Amazing experience!

really fun place to visit. walkthru tunnel with loads of rays and sharks as well as plenty of colorful fish. Zoo area had a nice variety of animals . Always lots of fun watching otters and penguins. Otter encounter was the best, learn a lot about the animals and actually get to shake hands.
