San Martín de los Andes and the Seven Lakes Route

This scenic journey follows one of Patagonia’s most beautiful routes, where seven pristine lakes merge seamlessly with the dramatic Andean landscape, beginning along National Route Forty as it traces the eastern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi to the Limay River, the natural boundary between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén, before reaching Villa La Angostura for a brief technical stop, then continuing along the iconic Seven Lakes Route through the stunning environments of Nahuel Huapi and Lanín National Parks while admiring the crystal-clear waters of Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar, arriving in the charming town of San Martín de los Andes on the shores of Lake Lácar where there is ample time to enjoy lunch and explore the lakefront or city center, and finally returning along the same picturesque road with unforgettable views of lakes, forests, and mountains bathed in the colors of a beautiful Patagonian sunset.
