Time Out Market Lisboa is one of the must-visit places in Lisbon, and we highly recommend it. It is a magnificent, huge gastronomic market with an incredible variety of restaurants, cafés, and food stalls. Here you can try everything from traditional street food to exquisite dishes, fresh seafood, desserts, and much more. We were absolutely delighted — it’s impossible to leave without trying something, and everything we tasted was delicious. The atmosphere is simply amazing, lively, and full of energy. A true paradise for food lovers!
A iconic food court in Lisboa. we usually order from either Marlene Vieira or Joao Sa-you cannot go wrong with their plate of the day. The octopus dish from Marlene Vieira is one of the best I have tasted. It is served with mash and some greens. Service is good and meals take a while as they are cooked fresh not prepared. Expect to pay around 20 euros per person. There is free wi fi and toilets are relatively clean. Lively atmosphere especially at night and can get very busy.

Finding a table can be challenging, but it is absolutely worth waiting for, because the energy of the place is unmatched. In the evenings, the mood becomes even more exciting, and there is often dancing, which makes the experience truly special. It’s no surprise that this is considered the world’s first and best communal dining market — you simply can’t visit Lisbon without stopping by. I loved every moment of it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the vibrant, modern, and delicious side of the city.
