Absolutely breathtaking! Rastoke is a charming village, and seeing the way the water wraps around the old houses is a truly surreal experience. I actually preferred visiting in the winter for a couple of reasons. First, it wasn’t crowded at all, so we could really enjoy the peace and quiet. Second, seeing the village under a blanket of snow made the river and waterfalls look even more stunning. It felt like a winter fairy tale. If you happen to be in Zagreb, this is absolutely worth the trip!
This place was not in our list, we were just driving around croatia and found this little paradise as a stop over. This place is magical, quiet and very relaxing. There are so many little waterfalls to see inside the village. It’s really amazing to stay here. They have an entrance fee for around €7 for adult for an up-close look of the water running around the village. I highly recommend this place!
Cute little town, must make a brief visit if you are on the way from Plitvice to Zagreb. There is a small fee to walk in to the little town. But you may walk to the area that you don't need to buy ticket and there is a restaurant for pizza and lasagna. The pizza is so big, but both are so delicious.
