Lake Titicaca is one of the highest navigable bodies of water in the world, stretching across the border between Peru and Bolivia and holding deep cultural and historical significance. For centuries, it has been home to indigenous communities such as the Uros, whose traditions and way of life date back to pre-Columbian times. The lake’s vast blue waters, surrounded by Andean landscapes, create a unique setting where history, culture, and nature come together in a truly remarkable environment.
This two day tour offers the opportunity to explore the islands of Lake Titicaca while experiencing authentic local life through an overnight stay with a host family. Traveling by boat between Amantani and Taquile islands, visitors gain insight into traditional customs, daily routines, and community values that continue to thrive on the lake. The combination of scenic boat journeys, cultural immersion, and meaningful interaction with local families makes this experience both enriching and memorable.

Richard

We were very happy with our kayaking tour to the Uros, which was combined with a 2D/1N trip on the island where we had the opportunity to stay on Amantaní overnight. Informative guide and nice food at the home stay and on Taquile - a beautiful island.

Great experience, very well organised tour of the lake. Definitely recommended.

We travelled with the company from Puno to Copacabana. The lady selling the ticket was very nice, but the 'guide' on the bus incredibly rude. Didn't even let us open the curtain to see the supposedly scenic view we would have had all the way driving along the Titicaca lake. Very disappointed for a much higher price than other companies.

Half day uros tour- Very interesting tour which i would recommend to everyone. We had an amazingly polite guide and received a lot of interesting information. I would recommendto take the afternoon tour for multiple reasons: less crowded, long sleeping, sunset at the end of the day. It is asked to buy some local things to support the Uros, which is acceptable as the price of the tour is very low ( 2 to 3 times cheaper compared to other tour operators)
