Absolutely appalling service. We called ahead, confirmed availability, and made a booking, only for it to be cancelled anyway. We had travelled from Belfast for a day out, and this massage was an important part of our plans, especially as it was for my pregnant girlfriend. Cancelling after confirming shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers’ time, and to make matters worse there was no compensation or attempt to make it right. It honestly feels like the high reviews have gone to their head. If you value your time, avoid this place — a booking here clearly means nothing.
This review has been a long time coming, and I am sorry I have only found the strength to write this review now. I have no words to express how kind, helpful, and understanding Aisling, the manager, and the entire The Bodywise Clinic management were to me when I asked if they could do a full refund of the €220 I deposited on the 4th of February, when my beloved grandfather suddenly passed away due to a stroke and a heart attack on the 7th of February. I booked a couple’s massage appointment for February 16th for my partner and me on the 4th of February, but ended up cancelling it because of my grandfather’s sudden passing. I emailed The Bodywise Clinic as soon as I heard the news from my family and explained my situation. Aisling emailed me back, saying how sorry she was to hear of my grandfather’s passing and that she would let her manager know and have him process the refund. To be honest, I was not expecting any refunds at all anymore because that would be a loss to the business, which I completely understand. However, I was completely surprised to see the entire €220 back into my account on the very same day of our flight back to the Philippines, which was on February 10th. Take note that it was not a partial refund, but a full and complete refund. €220 may not mean much to some, but their kind gesture meant so much more to me than they could ever realise. €220 is considered a lot of money, especially when converted to Philippine pesos, and I am so grateful for their compassion because I was able to add that amount of money to my grandfather’s funeral expenses. 9 months after my grandfather’s passing, I went back to The Bodywise Clinic on the 3rd of November for a deep tissue body massage. I knew I had to be back to see and experience all the positive reviews I have been reading, and they did not disappoint at all. It was the first time I had a massage since January 2024, and it was nothing short of amazing. I was well taken care of by the lovely therapist (I forgot her name, but I will update this review as soon as I get her name), and she ensured the pressure of the massage was always up to my liking. She covered me with extra towels when I found the room’s temperature a bit colder than I would have preferred, and that showed me how attentive they are to their customers’ needs. It was so relaxing that I ended up falling asleep for the entire 90 minutes. This entire experience has made me realise that this company prioritises values beyond just profit, and for that, you will have a regular customer in me. Not only was my physical health considered on the day of my appointment, but also my mental and emotional well-being at the worst time of my life, without them even realising it. Your heart-led approach is something I wish all businesses would have. Again, I would like to thank everyone at The Bodywise Clinic for accommodating me in every way possible. Had a great experience here. Joaquin was fantastic at his job, I’ve gone to many different clinics for massages but this was by far the best. I felt amazing afterwards. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
