The train station is dirty and smells bad. The toilets are dirty and there isnt toilet paper or soap, the toilet attendants hide it, they will give it to you and ask you for money, I gave her but then she asked for more. I gotta ticket from Luxor to Aswan I saw on line that the price was 150Egp (around 2.50 Eur) but when I went to the counter to buy my ticket the price for turist was €32 (as November 2025) The man at counter told me that Egyptian and musulim pay only 150 EGP, this is ridiculous, imagine if European countries start doing the same with the public tranport one price for European, but another for non EU and another religions ... This only reflect how most Egyptian treat the turist, they think that you are an ATM machine and will always charge you more and more money for EVERYTHING! I would understand to charge 3 times more to turist but not 30 times more considering that the trains are horrible and unreliable. The train was almost 3 hours delayed and apparently they are delayed every single day, there arent digital screens showing which train is coming up or how much delay your train has, and the anouncements are verbal in Arabian so you cant use any translation apps to know which train will be yours there is no staff providing information so you have to relay on a local (there is non official staff doing it) to help you to find your plataform and the right train, and of course they will ask you for a tip. Last but not leats, I was approach on the train by strenger man harassing me even if I was with my husband. If you are a tourist make yourself a favor and do not use the train between this cities you will waste your time, energy and money

We took the overnight train from Giza to here. This station is small and little busy outside. The building was very bright with sunshine.
