Experience the beauty of the Upper Colorado River on a fully-guided rafting adventure perfect for families, friends, and first-time rafters. This section of the river offers stunning scenery, including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls, along with abundant wildlife such as bald eagles, deer, beaver, and big horn sheep. Along the way, you may stop to see historic settlers’ cabins, warm springs if conditions allow, and enjoy a delicious riverside lunch. The river provides mild Class I-II rapids with occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow, making this trip exciting yet family-friendly. Kayak and tandem kayak options are available for participants twelve years and older.
The itinerary begins at the Rancho Del Rio boathouse, followed by gearing up with your guides and a shuttle ride to the put-in location. You will spend the day on the river navigating rapids, exploring scenic stretches, and relaxing during a riverside lunch before returning to the boathouse. All trips include professional, certified rafting guides, all necessary safety and rafting equipment, transportation to the river, and a fun-filled, educational experience. Clothing, lodging, insurance, and gratuities are not included. Participants must sign a liability waiver, and all rafting trips are designed for individuals five years or older when accompanied by a guardian.
