Spend a day exploring some of Nairobi’s most iconic wildlife attractions on this small group tour. Begin with a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe baby and young orphaned elephants up close. Viewing is strictly between 11am and 12pm, providing a unique opportunity to see these gentle giants interact and play under the supervision of their caretakers. Afterward, continue to the Giraffe Center, where you will have a supervised feeding session and learn about giraffe conservation efforts. This experience offers an intimate and educational glimpse into Kenya’s wildlife and conservation programs, making it ideal for families, animal lovers, and anyone looking for a memorable wildlife encounter near Nairobi. On Christmas Day, 25th December, the Elephant Orphanage is closed, and an alternative activity will be provided to ensure a fulfilling experience.
The tour includes a professional guide, hotel pickup and drop-off, entrance fees to both the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center, and small group tour service. Guests should note that stroller or pram access is possible, but the tour is not wheelchair accessible, and it is not suitable for pets. Infant seats are unavailable, and infants must sit on laps. Nairobi National Park is not included but can be added for an extra $85 per person as a conservancy fee. A current valid passport is required, and pickup is available from Airbnbs and private apartments. Travelers are advised to bring comfortable clothing, sun protection, water, and cameras to capture their wildlife encounters. This tour provides a safe, engaging, and unforgettable experience for visitors seeking to meet Kenya’s iconic elephants and giraffes up close.
