Booked in for the 1 hour taster course. Great instructors, equipment was all in good condition. The different options were explained really well and the pace of the course was really well layed out. Would be happy to recommend Awesome walls for parties, a group activity, or something dofferent to do with friends or family.

A place with very good facilities. Alex kindly showed us around during the induction. I went really excited to climb and have a good time after a long journey to get there, but to my surprise, part of the staff had bad attitudes, gave meaningless responses, and enforced a series of rules that made no sense at all. This is the first time I’ve seen something like this in a climbing gym, after having been to several in different countries. The atmosphere felt quite uncomfortable throughout the whole day, right until the end. It was packed with children and their parents, like a playground, which of course must be great for them financially.

We did the taster session as a team of 4 from work. We had a great time. Matilda our instructor was professional and fun and her instruction was clear and very helpful. It is a great fun activity and the venue is clean, well-run and professional. As a team-building activity I couldn't recommend it highly enough. People participating need to be in decent shape (more about strength really rather than fitness) and obviously a fear of heights would be an issue. It would definitely be great for kids.

The review is strictly based on the Bouldering section only. This was my first time in the awesome walls for bouldering and I have been bouldering for almost a year now. The ambience and the instructors are really nice but majority of the routes are out of the reach for very short climbers without risking themselves in the gym. The orange boulders are very easy but the black and pink are majorly out of reach for 5 foot climbers regardless of what technique I used. It makes it highly risky to go up if dynamic movement is required on slopers and crimps.

What a brilliant experience! My wife took my daughter who’s eight one weekend and myself and my son who’s six went the following week, we both did the 1 Hour Roped Climbing Taster (€64 for two for one hour). This includes the harness rental. We had different instructors both of whom were absolutely brilliant. The girls had Brendan looking after them and they said he couldn’t have been nicer and we had Donal. He was super friendly, very encouraging and reassuring during the climbs. Considering Ben is only 6 this really helped as he’d never done anything like this before. He is also small so rest assured that if you want to take your kid who’s six (the youngest age to climb) there are plenty of options and they manage just fine on the walls. All in all a brilliant experience and we’ll 100% be back to do more climbing.
