Superb tours, plenty of time to hop off, see the area, then jump back on the next bus. There are 2 routes, I only managed the larger red route and ran out of time to see the other, so get out there early if you want to make the most of it. One of the drivers, I saw a couple of times and he was really pleasant and chatty. I booked online through Viator and downloaded the Big Bus app which helps you navigate, that way you don't lose your little paper ticket. You can keep your phone charged on the bus too :)
I've bought tickets on booking and it was best idea to discover Berlin in November. We downloaded application and I saw all the buses on each route. So there was no need to spend lot of time on the stop. In application you can also look how the stop looks like, because there is no any signs in the street. We entered bus on the stop where wasn't an assistant, but the driver let us to come in, and we activated our tickets on the another stop, when we changed the route. We listened to the russian version of audio guide. And it was very interesting and informative.
I had about 1.5 days of free time to explore Berlin and happened to meet a very helpful customer representative near Stop 4 of the Big Bus Sightseeing route. His name was Enver, and despite the cold weather, he greeted me warmly and said, “Don’t worry, let me explain it to you and show you where to get your stuff.” He patiently listened to my plans and recommended the 2-day pass, which even came with a nice Berlin tote bag! Thanks to Enver’s guidance, I managed to see and learn more about Berlin and Germany in just two days than I ever expected. Thank you, Enver, your kindness and helpfulness made my short visit truly memorable one!
