Highly recommend Dixie’s Lower Canyon tours. The canyon is absolutely stunning. Beware of fraudsters offering these tours online! Instead go to Dixie’s website or to their location. Nadine was our most excellent guide, suggesting best pictures to take (including some amazing vertical pano’s), sharing lots of details about the canyon, her clan and family, growing up Navajo.
Nadine, our guide, has made our tour extraordinarily amazing and memorable! We have actually observed another guide behind our group and felt super lucky to be assigned to Nadine's care. Nadine was super friendly with nice smiles and pleasant demeanors from start to finish. She also spoke very clearly and explained everything extremely well. By adding some of her family history and life in the Reserve was interesting too. The best part was her knowledge of showing us how to adjust the setting of the various phones to capture the best pictures, not to mention spending the time to help take fabulous pictures of us as well with different techniques! All in all, she's definitely the cherry on top when touring this incredible creation of nature! Dixie's facility has been renovated and is modern, clean, organized and even has a nice gift shop. Booking the tour online was also a breeze and when I had questions, their Customer Service responded quickly with clear and helpful answers. Highly recommended and hope you'd have Nadine as your tour guide too!
There are plenty of positive reviews about Lower Antelope Canyon, and we couldn't agree more on how spectacular this tour was. Truly something that takes your breath away, and should be seen by everyone at least once. Dixie's was also great to work with, and was really professional and organized the tour so that it was effortless to plan and experience. The Navajo tour guide was also great - both in knowledge about the canyon, and also at helping to set up our phones to take better pictures, and to take lots of pictures for us (which is really nice, because everyone can see standard pictures online, but coming back with a bunch of pictures WITH us in them is what we wanted). We went in November, so the weather was very comfortable, and although we didn't have the overhead "summer" sunlight, the canyon was still glowing and warm. We also did Upper Antelope Canyon, and the two tours are similar but different in ways that made us glad we took the time to do both. Highly recommended.
